The Most Precious Thing — The Time of Your Life

Do you feel that you are doing something good when you donate your money to social organizations? But do you still feel sorry that Bill Gates could donate lot more money than you do? If you don’t have enough money does it mean that you can’t do anything? I found out that time is the most precious thing you can “donate”. Donating money is just too easy since it doesn’t have any value anymore if you own a lot of money. Here is the story of my experience.

The Story: Car Washing

On Saturday 18th. of May 2019 in the morning after bringing my daughter to her friend to play with I just drove to a car washing street in the near. After I came out and tried to do some vacuum cleaning, a woman in age of 50 came to me. She asked whether I would know how to go the city center of Cologne. She said that she didn’t have any money left and asked whether I could take her to the next bus station. She looked down and normally I know that such people would ask for money.

At that moment I actually felt that I would like to do my stuff just by myself, so I tried to figure out how to be able to do so. So I asked whether she needed money. I hoped to close the dialog as soon as possible. But then she told me that she was in a shelter for battered women because she was beaten by her husband.
