Back in June 2024, I introduced the buzzword Chat as Code (CaaC). Now, at the start of 2025, just six months later, it’s clear: CaaC is shaping up to be the core focus for Java developers moving forward.
Satya Nadella recently highlighted a key trend: Agentic AI has the potential to replace traditional SaaS platforms that mostly handle CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations with basic business logic. Tools like Microsoft Copilot and Cognigy — based on No-Code and Low-Code platforms — are driving this shift.
